“I Didn’t Want to Let This Tumor Define Me…”
From Brain Tumor to Powerlifter 💪🔥
Two years ago, Dena walked into RTC still feeling the effects of a brain tumor surgery that had rocked her world.
Her goals were simple:
✅ Regain strength
✅ Rebuild her body
✅ Get her life back
At the time, her body was still recovering.
– Squatting her own bodyweight was a challenge
– A 4” step-up left her winded
– Years of post-surgery medication had taken a toll
But she didn’t back down. We rebuilt her from the ground up.
Fast Forward…
Today, Dena:
🏋️♀️ Holds a state record in powerlifting
🔥 Cranks out bodyweight pull-ups, weighted dips, and handstand push-ups for REPS
💥 Has better cardio, strength, and energy than ever
🙌 Says she’s “in the best shape of my life.”
Dena’s story isn’t just about fitness. It’s about grit, resilience, and refusing to be defined by your past.
She’s proof that it’s possible to come back stronger—physically, mentally, and emotionally—no matter what life throws your way.
To Dena — thank you for finally letting us share this. You inspire more people than you know. 🖤
