How Debbie Lost 60 Pounds and Gained Strength After 40

Debbie Lost 60 Pounds!

Debbie didn’t join RTC for herself at first.

She just wanted to support her husband after his heart surgery. That meant working out three times a week—just enough to be sore right beside him.

But somewhere along the way, Debbie’s mindset shifted.

What started as support turned into strength. Over 60 pounds lost, multiple national powerlifting records, a half marathon, and a new identity as a fierce and confident athlete.

Life Before RTC

Debbie hadn’t worked out much. Fitness wasn’t part of her daily life, and food often made her feel sick due to undiagnosed sensitivities. But the turning point came after her husband’s bypass surgery. She committed to show up, move her body, and be there for him.

She signed up for our “Drop a Dress Size” challenge—and never looked back.

Life Now: Stronger Than Ever

With the guidance of her RTC coaches, Debbie set goal after goal:

  • Dropped over 60 lbs

  • Set 3 national powerlifting records

  • Ran a half marathon

  • Completed a 40th birthday photo shoot in the best shape of her life

She now trains with purpose, has full control of her nutrition, and is part of a tight-knit fitness family.

“I never thought I could train for a goal—until RTC. Now I always have one in front of me.”

Her Approach to Workouts

Debbie’s training started simple: bodyweight circuits, short rests, and 3 sessions a week. Once life settled, her strength and competitive edge came out. We shifted gears into strength-focused powerlifting prep—and she thrived.

Nutrition: The Game-Changer

Debbie has Hashimoto’s, so nutrition became a non-negotiable part of her transformation. Through elimination diets and careful food reintroductions, she figured out which foods triggered her symptoms.

That insight led to reduced inflammation, steady fat loss, and better energy.

Now, food is fuel—not frustration.

What’s Next for Debbie

She’s currently prepping for another half marathon and her next powerlifting meet—at a lower weight class. Our goal: keep her lean and strong without sacrificing performance.

We fully believe she’ll walk away stronger, leaner, and more confident than ever.
