When Pam walked into Rowlett Transformation Center, she wasn’t chasing a number on the scale; she was trying to find herself again.
After years of diets, gym memberships, and “new starts” that never stuck, she felt drained, frustrated, and dangerously close to giving up.
She didn’t need more motivation; she needed direction… a structure she could trust and people who believed in her before she believed in herself.
“I was desperate to lose weight. I had tried everything… I told myself this would probably be another waste of money, but I was going to give it six months and then give up.”
That six-month promise turned into something life-changing.
Over the next year, Pam lost 40 pounds, built strength she didn’t know she still had, and rediscovered confidence that reached far beyond the mirror.
Before joining RTC, Pam was TIRED… not just physically, but emotionally as well.
She’d spent years trying to change her body through a number of diets, workouts, and quick fixes that only led to her becoming more disappointed.
Every time she started a new plan with hope, but ended with frustration.
“I was desperate to lose weight. I had tried everything… I told myself this would probably be another waste of money, but I was going to give it six months and then give up.”
She didn’t feel lazy or unmotivated; she felt defeated.
Each failed attempt chipped away at her confidence until she started to believe that MAYBE… her best years were behind her.
Clothes she used to love were tucked away in drawers or the back of the closet.
Vacations became stressful instead of exciting.
Even daily movement felt heavier — both physically and mentally.
“I felt invisible. I didn’t want to be in pictures. I was embarrassed about how far I’d let myself go, but I didn’t know where to start.”
At 65, most people would have accepted that this was just how life would feel from now on.
But something in Pam refused to settle.
She wasn’t ready to give up on herself; she just needed a place that wouldn’t give up on her.
The day Pam walked into RTC, she almost didn’t.
She sat in her car in the parking lot, hands gripping the steering wheel, inventing reasons to turn around.
What if she couldn’t keep up?
What if everyone else already knew what they were doing?
What if she failed… again?
“I sat in my car for quite a while trying hard to convince myself not to go in. I knew I was going to feel intimidated… but it was my last shot.”
That last sentence says everything about who Pam is.
She was scared, but she went in anyway.
And that single decision changed the next chapter of her life.
Inside, she expected judgment, but…
…what she found was encouragement.
Instead of competition, she found coaches who met her where she was, and believed in where she could go.
“I wasn’t prepared to be immediately welcomed into the family at RTC. I found myself cheered on, encouraged, and educated.”
Every client remembers their first session at RTC differently, but for Pam, it was the moment fear turned into relief.
She realized she didn’t have to do this alone, and that she’d just stepped into a place that wouldn’t let her fail.
“In the beginning, the hardest part is NEVER the workout; it’s walking through the door.
As the months passed, something cool started happening, not just on the scale, but in how Pam carried herself.
Her energy came back.
Her posture changed.
Her smile, once cautious but polite, turned genuine and bright.
“I’ve gone from exhausted, not caring, hiding in baggy clothes, and ready to accept being an average, overweight 60+ woman… to walking several miles a day, looking forward to my workouts, and wearing clothes I never dreamed I’d fit into.”
That quote says everything.
Pam didn’t just lose weight; she regained the version of herself that had been waiting to come back.
Her body transformed, her confidence grew, and she began setting goals she’d never imagined before: walking longer distances, lifting heavier, and even training while traveling.
“The fact that I don’t want to miss a single session (even the hard ones) and I look for ways to set new goals constantly tells me I’ve found a new way of life, not just another diet that will soon fade.”
It wasn’t luck, nor was it a quick fix.
It was a structured plan, belief, and consistency.
Pam started exactly where most of our members do — frustrated, unsure what would work, and tired of trying things that didn’t last.
The first step wasn’t a diet or workout plan.
It was understanding exactly what her body needed.
In your Rebuild Assessment we:
We’ll review your info, text you to schedule, and if it’s not a fit we’ll tell you straight.
No BS, no hype.
Before you get started, here’s everything you might be wondering…
No. Nothing against CrossFit, but CrossFit is more of a sport that builds you around their workouts.
We build the workouts around YOU.
We focus on strength and conditioning, our programs are customized to your body, goals, and fitness level—without random high-intensity workouts or excessive Olympic lifts.
Not at all. While running and jumping do have their place, we find that they beat more people up than make better.
Your workouts are built around strength, mobility, and functional fitness—not endless cardio or high-impact movements. Everything is modified to fit your abilities.
Shooting you straight, as you get older, something is going to be achy. Price of admission.
As long as you are cleared by a doctor to workout it’s nothing we can’t work with, around, or even fix <=== you’d be surprised!
Yes! Everyone that we coach works with a nutritionist to come up with a plan that is in alignment with YOUR goals and you both feel is REALISTIC.
And that comes with your personal training program, no additional cost.
Those that look ‘bulky’ WANT to look bulky, if you don’t want to look that way, it won’t happen. We’ll make sure of it.
Everything we do is under the umbrella of Personal Training, meaning everything is customized to YOUR body and goals.
While we are a strength-oriented gym, meaning you will lift weights, we aren’t going to make you do exercises that hurt or beat you up. The goal is to get you better… not beat up.
We have session times that range from 5am to our last session starting at 7pm. When you sign up, you will get access to our calendar, and you can schedule yourself at your leisure.
You’re not married to any particular workout time. So, if your schedule changes week to week, your workout times can change to what is convenient for you.
Most clients who start with us in Rowlett invest somewhere between a few hundred and a little over a thousand dollars for their first month, depending on whether we recommend semi‑private or 1:1.
In your Assessment we’ll show you exactly what your plan would be and what it would cost, before you decide on anything.
If you’re not doing 1:1 personal training then we do what we call “Small Group Personal Training”
How this works is you will work with a personal trainer with 5-7 other people, BUT you will have YOUR OWN individual designed program.
So you’re not doing what everyone else is doing; you’re doing your OWN workout built for YOUR goals and YOUR ability. You will still have the trainer right there; coaching, spotting and pushing you on the exercises that you need help with.
This is a VERY normal feeling and over 50% of our members/clients are COMPLETE beginners. Remember, the ones that are in incredible shape at the big gyms have graduated and are done.
This means you’ll be around more people like YOU.
